The old theater of Epidavros

Methana
Methana is a peninsula, which was formed entirely from lava cones and lava flows. It is part of an active volcanic area, which also includes the islands of Santorini, Melos and Nysiros. The island was formed 250,000 years ago, the most recent eruption took place in the year 258 BC. The lava flow reached the coast and extended the peninsula about 500m in a north-westerly direction. Methana is a paradise for hikers. Hiking trails lead over the rugged peaks to the old craters, through the beautiful nature. From our terrace you have a beautiful view of Methana.
Nemea wine Route
